Module 1, Lesson 1: Foundation Work   

Lesson 1 of your Professional Diploma in Crystal Healing introduces you to how crystal healing works, the benefits of crystal healing, as well as how crystals are formed, their structures and the various elements that impact and influence crystal work. At the end of this lesson you will also be able to release, invoke and anchor yourself, you will know how to set intentions and we will finish off with a water alchemy exercise.

Module 1, Lesson 2: Energy        

Lesson 2 explores the 7 main chakras, related organs and possible symptoms of misaligned chakras. You will also learn about the 7 layers of the aura. We will end off the lesson with a guided meditation to connect your chakras and aura.

Module 1, Lesson 3: Your own crystals   

Lesson 3 focuses on selecting your own crystals, the significance of certain shapes and those best suited for use during crystal healing sessions. This lesson also concentrates on the steps recommended for cleansing and programming your crystals once purchased and which trusted incense choices you can include in this process. The lesson ends off with steps on how to quickly and effectively balance your chakras and protect your aura.

Module 1, Lesson 4: Let's talk about love              

Universal love is the name of the game in lesson 4. Both the positive sides of love and the contradictions to it, the dark side within our psyche withholding us from experiencing its full benefits, are being explored in this lesson. This ties in with being overwhelmed by a certain crystal’s energy. In this lesson, we also cover the first of 35 crystals in this course; Rose Quartz, the crystal of divine love.

Module 1, Lesson 5: Unlimited potential

Lesson 5 centers around the concept of your birth right to unlimited potential. The crystal covered in this lesson is clear quartz, a stone which can be programmed to emit any energy we would like to work with. This lesson focuses on ways of storing your crystals, you are guided in running a crystal healing using clear quartz only session and manifestation practices that will continue to benefit your life in positive ways.

Module 1, Lesson 6: Balancing energy   

Lesson 6 ties together a lot of the information you learned in previous lessons. You learn how to manipulate your personal energy through the use of crystals and conscious breathing. It is important to understand how to energetically link to another person’s energy in a safe way, in accordance with the universal laws. This lesson teaches valuable and safe techniques.

Module 1, Lesson 7: Welcoming clients 

Lesson 7 walks you step by step through energetic space cleansing by laying down a salt grid, followed by your incense burning knowledge from previous lessons. This is especially useful for when you set your practice up in a new space and recommended weekly energy cleansing. You will learn how to create a sacred space, through which positive universal energy can flow. This is often called a temple or sacred space. Alternatives to using a massage bed for your sessions will be discussed along with other ways of ensuring a positive flow throughout your space, such as Tibetan singing bowls, Himalayan rock salt lamps and water fountains.

Module 1, Lesson 8: First session             

By end of this lesson, you will be able to provide a full crystal healing session using rose quartz and clear quartz. You will also learn about the sequence of a crystal healing session, how bringing in other single crystals could assist the overall sessions. These are selenite towers and lamps, amethyst geodes and rose quartz. We touch on grid work, how to lay and activate one as well as the importance of your practice’s name. The lesson is ended off with clear guidance on how to guide your clients back to full consciousness and what they may expect post-session.

Module 2, Lesson 1: Psychic Ability          

This lesson focuses on psychic ability. Why would you want to know about psychic ability in a course that is about crystal healing? Your personal psychic ability will develop by default as you work with crystals. Clients will come to you with such concerns. Discovering your own psychic connection and learning how to develop it will benefit both yourself and your clients. The knowledge shared with you in this lesson will provide you with the knowledge required to not only be able provide incredible crystal healing sessions, but to also be able to assist those clients of yours who would appreciate support in expanding their spiritual journey.

Module 2, Lesson 2: The Root/Base Chakra          

As the first in a series of 7 lessons focusing on the 7 main chakras, we are starting with the root chakra, also known as the base chakra, making it the vocal point of focus in this lesson. We share with you the tell-tale signs for a blocked, overactive and balanced root chakra. In this lesson we cover knowledge of 3 crystals: Red jasper, lava and smokey quartz. We end off this lesson by sharing with you how you can apply diet, sound, exercise and affirmations to attain, enhance and maintain root chakra balance.

Module 2, Lesson 3: The Sacral Chakra   

This lesson focuses on our 2nd natural energy center, the sacral chakra, which the is the chakra associated with our emotions. You gain clear understanding of how your emotions can assist in manifesting or blocking your desires through the ever-present law of attraction. Knowledge of 2 crystals are shared with you in this lesson: Carnelian and Tiger's eye. You will recall that at throughout lesson 1 we mentioned that not all crystals are safe for direct skin touch. We broach this topic and solutions to it in this lesson. We end off this lesson by sharing with you how you can gain, enhance and maintain sacral chakra balance through diet, sound, exercise and affirmations.

Module 2, Lesson 4: The Solar Plexus     

This lesson focuses on the solar plexus, the personal power energy center. In this lesson, you will learn the tell-tale signs of a blocked, overactive and balanced solar plexus plus how each stage affects your experience of life. Crystals covered in this lesson are: Amethyst, citrine and yellow calcite. We also share a very interesting story with you about turning amethyst into citrine. This lesson wraps up by exploring how to go about gaining, extending and attaining solar plexus balance through diet, sound and exercise.

Module 2, Lesson 5: The Heart Chakra   

In this lesson, our focus is on the heart chakra, our 4th energy center, dealing with universal love and self-acceptance. Crystals covered in this lesson are bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, as well as green aventurine, the stones that is often referred to as the crystal that helps make dreams come true and we revisit rose quartz. There is an amazing guided meditation in this lesson to help you take the leap from the solar plexus to the heart chakra, which can be challenging for some. You also get to learn about higher heart opening or activation and get to experience this for yourself in this lesson that centers around the universal energy of love.

Module 2, Lesson 6: The Throat Chakra 

Communication, confidence and the relationship you maintain with yourself is the focus of this lesson, in which we cover the Throat chakra, also referred to as the 5th chakra. A lot of people are held back from living their greatest life potential due to a blocked throat chakra. Crystals covered in this lesson are Blue lace agate, Turquoise and Aquamarine.

Module 2, Lesson 7: The Third Eye Chakra            

The ever-mysterious Third Eye or Pineal gland fascinated civilizations since the beginning of time. This 6th energy center is your powerful link to psychic ability unlocking and creating the life of your dreams and for some the ability to indulge in fascinating psychic endeavors, such as astral travelling and channeling. There are dangers to recklessly unlocking the 3rd Eye. The topic of decalcifying your 3rd Eye is discussed. Crystals covered in this lesson are Blue kyanite and Fluorite.

Module 2, Lesson 8: The Crown Chakra 

This final module lesson teaches you about the Crown chakra, also known as the 7th chakra. It is our eternal connection to Source of All, the Divine, Creator, Quantum field of all knowing, whichever way you refer to that which cannot truly be named. Topics such as the akashic records and past life regression will be touched on. Crystals covered in this lesson are Howlite, Amethyst and deeper knowledge of Clear Quartz.

Module 3, Lesson 1: Advanced Crystal Healing Techniques           

This lesson explores some universal laws you need to be familiar with to successfully practice as a crystal healer. You will learn incredible aura sensing and seeing techniques and how the practice seeing auras on plants, trees, animals and humans as well as sending love energy to others. We discuss laying a second layer of crystals on clients during practice, the difference between boji stones and moqui marbles and locking in energy during a session once you attained the energetic balance. Crystals covered are Ametrine and Peridot.

Module 3, Lesson 2: Taking care of yourself        

Taking care of your personal energy is paramount to your ongoing success as a crystal healer. This lesson focuses on safety precautions, legalities and the signing of disclaimers by your clients. Some energy cleansing techniques for yourself are discussed, which in turn you can share with your clients and gain their greatest respect. This lesson teaches you about taking salt, herbal and crystal baths, along with how to combine it all. If you have an interest in essential oils and aromatherapy, the bit about bath bombs in this lesson with be of fascination to you.

Module 3, Lesson 3: Clearing blockages 

This lesson focuses strongly on removing negative energy blockages. Pain management via crystal healing is explored. You will know about clients who become overwhelmed during sessions and how to proactively prepare for this. Known and suppressed trauma, the five stages of grieving and healing and assisting patients who have terminal conditions such as HIV and cancer is discussed. You will also learn how you can assist clients through crystal healing before and after invasive surgery. We discuss a term referred to as the dark night of the soul and explore inner child healing more. Crystals covered in this lesson are Hematite, Black tourmaline and Labradorite.

Module 3, Lesson 4: Earth and Star chakras         

After gaining a clear grasp of the 7 Main chakras, you will gain exceptionally from learning about your Earth star chakra and Soul star chakra. Module 3, Lesson 6: Make their soul smile           

In this lesson, you learn about using wands and the wonderful possibilities of crystal rollers. Your clients will love you for this. They will also highly appreciate the beautiful effects of Selenite face mapping. This lesson looks at the five love languages, for those clients coming to you who are experiencing challenges in the romantic avenues of their lives. This lesson teaches an easy abundance manifestation technique by keeping crystals next to your bed as you sleep. As a crystal healing practitioner this provides you with the opportunity to generate more income. Crystals discussed in this lesson are Selenite and Desert rose.

Module 3, Lesson 7: Valuable extras       

Crystals are from the Earth.  The stronger your bond to the Earth, the stronger your connection will flow with the crystals. In this lesson we look energy vortexes of Earth, much like the main chakras within the human body. A guided meditation helps you connect with these. You get guidance on incorporating crystal healing into the plant and animal kingdom. You will learn what people refer to when they speak about the Earth Devas. Crystals covered in this lesson are Fairy quartz, Spirit quartz, Angel quartz and Rainbow quartz.

Module 3, Lesson 8: Angel healing           

Angel healing crosses the path of majority energetic healers. The focus of this lesson is by no means dogmatic (which includes religion) in any way. It focuses on the angelic realm, the eternal loving energy that is always available to assist us in all avenues of life. You will learn about the 7 different kinds of angels and learn about 6 Archangels, which is knowledge that is valuable in sessions.

Module 4, Lesson 1: Abundance

Module 4, Lesson 2: Trusting your intuition          

Trusting your intuition is the focus of this lesson. You will learn about channeling and following your gut whilst placing on of stones. The importance of having a set future goal is discussed and dot journaling is taught to you, which you may find highly valuable in achieving your personal goals. It is a beautiful technique to share with your clients. This will really contribute to their personal growth journey. Alignment guided meditation is provided. Crystals covered in this lesson are Moldavite and Shungite.

Module 4, Lesson 3: Energy Water           

In this lesson you are taught how to make moon water as well as crystal elixir, which is water charged with crystal energy. For those very into bringing the energy of the moon into their crystal making, which does take your crystal elixirs to a whole new level, a brief and helpful explanations will be provided on what is referred to in the practice of astrology as the 28 mansions of the moon.

Module 4, Lesson 4: Balance and center

Balancing and centering is discussed more in this lesson. Helpful breathing techniques is shared to naturally amplify and balance your energy as well as calm you down whenever you become overwhelmed within the moment. The thymus gland and higher heart chakras are introduced. A guided meditation connects you to your thymus gland. The difference between magic and magic is investigated. Candle magic and color significance in practicing this is discussed. Lesson 1 kicks of in the ancient times where we explore the origin of wine and how it has journeyed through the ages. Wine is made from grapes, and we will start discussing the basics of how grapes are grown and what makes wine taste like wine. This lesson sets up the foundations for your journey into the world of wine.

Module 1, Lesson 2: Bottle Basics             

After unpacking the contents of a wine bottle, we will discuss the bottle itself. We'll touch on the cork and cap debate and look into alternative wine packaging. Climate change is a pressing issue in society today and in this lesson we will look at the carbon footprint of the wine industry as well as some innovation towards a greener future.

Module 2, Lesson 2: It's Harvest Time!   

Harvest time is an exciting time of year in the wine industry! In this lesson we're starting in the vineyard with understanding the process of berry ripening and how to sample grapes properly. From the vineyard we will move into the cellar where the steps to processing white grapes and red grapes will be listed and discussed. We will compare the use of agrochemicals in viticulture to integrated pest management strategies and discuss 3 main fungal diseases in viticulture.

Module 2, Lesson 3: Primary Fermentation         

Understand what happens during the process of alcoholic fermentation. what happens chemically, what organisms are responsible for it, which factors influence it and what can potentially go wrong. We will discuss how the process of alcoholic fermentation is monitored and controlled, as well as common problems that can occur. Lastly, we will list adjustments that can be made to juice and wine.

Module 2, Lesson 4: Secondary Fermentation    

We have introduced secondary fermentation in wine in module 1, and in this lesson we will talk about the details. We will look at how malolactic fermentation works and how it influences wine. We'll look at the use of sulfur dioxide in wine as a preservative and lastly we will introduce fortified wines, discuss how they are made and look at some examples.

Module 2, Lesson 5: It's All About the Oak            

Oak and wine go way back. In this lesson we will look at the history and origin of the oak barrel. We will learn about how they are made and what happens to wine when it is aged in oak. Different types of oak barrels will discussed, as well as alternate ways oak is used in wine.

Before bottling, a wine needs to be 'finished'. We will discuss all the processes that go into finishing a wine and preparing it for bottling. The process of fining and filtering will be explained with examples.

We will walk through the steps of bottling wine in a bottling line and discuss the details of the process. The term 'bottle-shock' will be introduced and discussed. Wine undergoes changes as it ages in the bottle and we will take a closer look at the details of this process. Module 3, Lesson 7: Common Wine Faults and How to Identify Them      

We will identify common wine faults, their causes and learn how to identify them. Discuss the basics of how your body processes alcohol and what happens when you become intoxicated. We'll look into what a hangover looks like in the body and what are common 'cures' for a hangover. Lastly, we'll investigate what causes headaches, red cheeks or allergies when you drink wine.

Module 3, Lesson 8: The Egg       

In this lesson we will go back in time and learn about the amphora, which is still used in modern wineries today. We will understand the use of concrete fermentation and maturation vessels and how they effect the process of alcoholic fermentation, putting special focus on the concrete egg. We will finish off the lesson by introducing some alternative ways wine is made, matured and stored - including storing wine in the ocean!

Your final module in wine appreciation will take you on a round-the-world trip in wine. We'll start our journey with an introduction to old world wines versus new world wines and what defines them.

Module 1, Lesson 4: Home for the Hollandaise   

A sauce has the power to make or break a dish and mastering the art of making a sauce is a skill that every chef needs to perfect. This lesson is focused on understanding a roux, mother sauces and stocks. The practical portion of this lesson will show you how to create a roux and what needs to be done to take a roux to a finished product.

Module 1, Lesson 5: Cake It Easy, Man! 

Have you ever heard of a Genoise sponge cake? Never fear, we are here to show you what that is (and why it is different from a regular or chiffon sponge cake) as well as everything in between! You will put your newly learnt baking terminology to good use and understand why your ingredients need to be at room temperature. The demo will be on how to create this delicious sponge and by the end of it you can rest assured that your mouth will be watering!

Module 1, Lesson 6: Keep it Clean            

Do you know the difference between food borne illness and food poisoning or food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene? Knowing the ins and outs of food safety is imperative, especially if you are cooking for groups of people. Knowing how to clean, separate, cook and chill various types of food can help you reduce the risk of illness and reduce food waste and save on costs.

Module 1, Lesson 7: Who Are You Calling Fatty?

This lesson details the various fats that can be used in cooking and baking, as well as the characteristics of each with the demo focusing on the correct technique to bake melt-in-your-mouth butter biscuits. In addition to this, we will also delve into the world of raising agents. You will learn what these are as well as why they are important and which types to use for various recipes. Module 1, Lesson 8: Sunday Lunch          

Our final lesson for module 1 elaborates on meat browning. We explore how to perfectly brown your meats and understand why it creates such a delicious taste in our favorite roast dishes. The demo is aimed at helping you put the pieces of what you have learned over the last 7 lessons into practice. You will learn how to do the perfect roast beef, with Yorkshire pudding and a variety of vegetables with an Espagnole sauce. Can anyone say yum?!

Module 2, Lesson 1: Let's get Jiggly- Understanding How to Set Various Foods     

At the end of this lesson you will be able to apply the knowledge you have learned to produce sweet or savory set products (using gelatin, eggs and butter) as well as understanding the science of how gelatin works.

Module 1, Lesson 1: Welcome, Fellow Artisan    

This initial lesson is an introduction to the course, and the candle making world at large. We'll explore the different types of candles that can be made and touch on the historic significance of candles. Students will be inspired by the scope of the field, and encouraged to explore the many, many possibilities.

Module 1, Lesson 2: Candle Terminology              

This lesson will teach our students the very specific terminology used to describe the various words associated with candle making. It is imperative that these terms are understood and correctly used to encourage a professional approach to the field.

Module 1, Lesson 3: Rolling Into Beeswax            

In this lesson, students will create their very first candle. They will be making a simple, hand-rolled beeswax candle using sheet wax. We will discuss the correct handling of the wax, and have our first encounter with the physical production.

Module 1, Lesson 4: Wax On, Wax Off   

In this lesson, students will discover the various different wax types that can be used in candle making. We will go into an in depth discussion of their individual properties, their chemistry, and their pro's and con's in terms of creating different candles.

Module 1, Lesson 5: Illuminating Wicks  

In this lesson, students will learn about their various wicking options. This will include the material and sizing. We will also focus on the correct way to calculate wick size for a specific candle, and how to choose a wick that best suits the type of wax and candle a student intends making.

Module 1, Lesson 6: Station Activation  

In this lesson, we will discuss our necessities in a home work space for making candles. The various basic equipment will be covered, as well as the raw materials needed for a project. In this, safety will also be highlighted as we will be working with hot equipment and materials, as well as gas or electric power supply.

Module 1, Lesson 7: Dipped Candles, Tapers Treasured  

In this lesson we will create our very first paraffin candle. Students will be taught how to correctly prepare their work station and wax, and thereafter, create simple, dipped taper candles. Drying time (curing) will be demonstrated and students will walk away with both knowledge and a physical product of their learning.

Module 1, Lesson 8: Package, Style, Present       

In this lesson we refer to the two different candles made in lessons three and seven. Some ideas for packaging of these two candles will be demonstrated. The importance of appealing presentation of your candles, as both a gift or product being sold, will be highlighted. Students will be shown basic styling of candles as decor, and how to photograph them in a way that accentuates their appeal.

Module 2, Lesson 1: Molded To Perfection          

In this lesson, students will learn the complete process of how to create a paraffin candle in a pre-made candle mold. From choosing the correct wick size to the correct melting of the wax, the actual pouring technique, and the correct curing time before removal. Students will create these candles from start to finish.

Module 2, Lesson 2: If You Can Dream It

In this lesson, students will learn a few of the many ways to decorate paraffin wax candles. There are a variety of different creative options to implement when doing this. Some of those include, image transfers and gold leafing. Students will also be challenged to come up with some of their own inspiration for this, and encouraged to share it on the social media platforms.

Module 2, Lesson 3: Soy, You Want to Make a Candle?   

In this lesson, students will be introduced to soy wax and its potential use in the candle making world. We'll take a look at the properties of the wax and how it is best used in the candle making process. We'll cover its strengths and weaknesses and why a student may choose this medium over another.

Module 2, Lesson 4: Color Me Intrigued

In this lesson, students will be taught the series of rules and guidelines that make up Color Theory. They will learn how we instinctively communicate with color, and how it can be used to influence perception. They will be encouraged to consider the importance of this knowledge in their candle making process. Students will also be taught to identify the various ways in which color or dye can be added to their candle wax, to create a colored candle. They will be shown the correct way to blend the coloring agent with their candle wax.

Module 2, Lesson 5: Two Scents on Candle Fragrance     

In this lesson, students will learn about the difference in fragrance and essential oils, their uses, costs and properties. I will demonstrate how to incorporate these different oil types into paraffin wax. We will also talk about why a student may choose to use one instead of the other when producing a candle.

Module 2, Lesson 6: Nothing Succeeds Like Excess           

In this lesson, students will be taught how to calculate and implement the use of multiple wicks in a single, larger candle vessel. We will use the example of an outdoor, bug repellent citronella candle to do this. Following this lesson, students will have a new practical candle making skill, as well as the recipe for a functional candle which could be sold.

Module 2, Lesson 7: Stack 'em Up!          

In this lesson, we will build on the students knowledge of how to create paraffin wax candles which have been dyed a specific color. Using a variety of colored waxes, we will create a multi-colored candle in a jar. We will also create a free-standing multi-colored candle.

Module 2, Lesson 8: Fixing Faults in Soy & Paraffin Wax Candles

In this lesson, we delve into the troubleshooting of paraffin and soy wax candles. Students will explore common faults that arise in this type of candle production, and learn how to identify why they occur. With the identification of the problems, we will look into correcting the technique used in the initial production and explore possible fixes for the flawed candle.
